Deaf Café

Our Deaf Café provides an opportunity for deaf, hearing impaired and hearing people to come together, relax, share experiences, meet new friends and brush up on your sign language skills. This welcoming group meets between 11am and 3pm on the third Wednesday of each month at Compass Wellbeing in our light and airy activity room, with plenty of room to keep safe. These drop in events are free to attend and open to all.

The Wellbeing Café is open throughout, with a new menu, filled with affordable, tasty favourites from Jacket Potatoes to Paninis or an indulgent crispy Bacon Bap or bowl of Cheesy Chips. Don’t forget to sneak a peak at our specials board! We also have a new Smoothie menu, alongside our usual range of hot and cold beverages ……. We serve the best hot chocolate in town apparently! Most dietary requirements can be accommodated and allergen advise is available on request.

Being able to meet and make new friends has many positive effects on mental wellbeing. Sharing a meal or coffee and cake with others is more important now than ever as we come out of isolation. So why not pop in and join in the conversation!
